Google Business Profile Reinstatement

Google Business Profile suspended? Let's get it back.

When your profile disappears, so do the calls. I’m a Diamond Google Product Expert, and getting suspended profiles back on Google Maps is what I do every week. I find the real reason Google flagged you, fix it properly and prepare an appeal Google can say yes to.

Sound familiar?

One day it's working. The next, it's gone.

Most owners find out the hard way, when the phone goes quiet. If any of these sound like you, you’re in the right place.

Your business vanished from Maps

Customers search your name and you’re simply not there anymore. No listing, no reviews, no calls.

You got the "suspended" email

Google says your profile doesn’t follow its guidelines, but doesn’t tell you what exactly went wrong.

You can't edit or manage it

The profile is locked, edits get rejected or you’ve lost access to the account that owns it.

Your appeal was already denied

You tried yourself, it didn’t work, and now you’re worried that the next attempt is your last.

Don’t panic and don’t start over with a new profile. Message me first, a quick look costs you nothing.

Why it happens

Google rarely tells you the real reason.

A suspension is Google saying something about your profile doesn’t add up. The email is vague on purpose. Finding the actual cause is the most important part of the job, because an appeal that doesn’t fix it usually fails.

As a Diamond Product Expert, I review suspended profiles in Google's own Business Profile community, so I know the patterns Google looks for and the fixes that actually work.

Keywords in your business name

Adding services or cities to the name, like “Best Plumber Toronto”, is one of the most common triggers.

Address problems

Virtual offices, mailboxes, shared or co working spaces without signage, or an address Google can’t confirm.

Service area set up wrong

Showing a home address when you serve customers at their place, or a service area that’s far too wide.

Risky edits

Changing the name, address, category or phone in one go, or editing again and again in a short time.

Ownership and manager issues

An old agency, ex employee or unknown account with access, or suspicious activity on a manager account.

Category or website mismatch

A category that doesn’t match what you actually do, or a website that tells a different story.

Review or link patterns

Sudden review spikes, review gating, or links to sites Google doesn’t trust.

Automated false flags

Sometimes Google’s systems simply get it wrong. Real businesses get caught every day.

Before you do anything

The mistakes that turn a fixable case into a hard one.

Most of the tough cases I see were made tougher by well meaning moves in the first few days. Please avoid these.

  • Don't create a new profile. A duplicate for the same business usually makes the suspension harder to lift and can put more of your accounts at risk.
  • Don't rush an appeal. An appeal sent before the real problem is fixed is often rejected, and it can make the next attempt harder.
  • Don't keep editing the profile. Every change while it's suspended is another signal for Google to review.
  • Don't spam Google support. Opening ticket after ticket for the same issue can count against you under Google's support policies.
  • Don't pay for "guaranteed" fixes. Nobody outside Google can guarantee a decision. Anyone promising that is selling you a story.

Not sure what to do next? Ask me first.

Send me your business name and a screenshot of what you see. I’ll tell you honestly what’s going on and whether it can be recovered, before you do anything you can’t undo.

How it works

Step 05

Follow up until live

I track the review, respond to any requests from Google and help you stay safe after it’s back.

Until it's back

Google makes the final decision and review times vary, often a few days, sometimes longer. If I don’t think your case can be won, I’ll tell you upfront.

A real case

From "not visible to customers" to fully live again.

  1. The problem. The profile was suspended and hidden from customers, with no clear reason given.
  2. What I found. Details on the profile didn't line up with the business category and Google's rules for that niche.
  3. The fix. We corrected the information first, then submitted one properly documented reinstatement request.
  4. The result. The suspension was lifted and the listing went fully live again on Search and Maps.

Questions

Things people ask me before we start.

How long does Google Business Profile reinstatement take?

It depends on the case. Simple cases can be back within a few days of a proper appeal. Others take a couple of weeks, especially if Google asks for more information. I'll give you a realistic estimate after the free review.

Can you guarantee my profile will be reinstated?

No one honestly can, because Google makes the final decision. What I can promise is an honest assessment upfront, a proper fix and a well supported appeal. If I don't think your case can be won, I'll tell you before you spend anything.

Should I create a new profile instead?

Please don't. A new profile for the same business usually makes things worse and can affect your other accounts. In most cases the original profile, with its reviews and history, can be recovered.

My appeal was already rejected. Is it too late?

Not always. Many of the profiles I recover had a rejected appeal first. What matters is finding what was really wrong and fixing it before trying again the right way.

Do you need access to my Google account?

For the review, no. A screenshot and your business name are enough. If we go ahead, the safest way is to add me as a manager on the profile, so you never share your password.

I work from home or visit my customers. Can I still get reinstated?

Yes. Service area businesses are allowed on Google, they just need to be set up the right way, usually with the address hidden and a sensible service area. Fixing that setup is often the key to reinstatement.

Will I get my reviews back?

When the original profile is reinstated, its reviews, photos and history usually come back with it. That's one more reason not to start over with a new profile.

Do you work with businesses outside India?

Yes. Most of my clients are international. I work with businesses all over the world over WhatsApp and email, so time zones are never a problem.
