What Google actually checks
Every verification comes down to three proofs.
Whether it’s a recorded video or a live call with Google, the reviewer is checking the same three things. Miss one and the whole attempt fails.
Location
You are exactly where your profile says you are.
- Street sign or a known landmark
- Building number and neighbours
- One continuous pan to your door
Business
A real business with this name operates here today.
- Permanent signage with your name
- Products, equipment, workspace
- Branded vehicle or tools if you travel
Management
You are the person who runs it, or are allowed to.
- Unlocking the door with your key
- Staff only areas or the register
- A business document, numbers covered
Why verification fails
It's rarely bad luck. It's usually one of these.
Google won’t tell you exactly why a video was rejected. After reviewing a lot of these cases, the same problems come up again and again, and almost all of them can be fixed.
No clear location
The video starts inside, or shows nothing that ties it to a real street and building.
No permanent signage
A paper sign, a banner or no sign at all makes it hard to prove the business is real.
Name doesn't match
Extra keywords or cities in the profile name that don’t appear on your sign or documents.
Wrong business type
Set up as a storefront when you serve customers at their place, or the other way round.
No proof of management
Never showing keys, the register, a back office or any business document.
Not recorded live
Edited clips, cuts, filters or a video recorded outside Google’s own verification flow.
Ineligible address
Virtual offices, mailboxes and unstaffed spaces don’t qualify for a Business Profile.
Editing during review
Changing the name, address or category while Google is still checking your video.

Before you record again
The moves that turn a quick fix into weeks of waiting.
Most hard verification cases I see were made harder in the first few days. Please avoid these.
- Don't create a second profile. A duplicate for the same business makes verification harder and can lead to a suspension.
- Don't keep recording new videos at random. Each failed attempt can use up your options. Fix the cause first, then record once, properly.
- Don't edit the profile during review. Changing details while Google is checking can reset the review or trigger new checks.
- Don't use a virtual office or mailbox. These addresses aren't eligible, and verifying one often leads to problems later.
- Don't flood Google support. Opening ticket after ticket for the same issue can count against you under Google's support policies.

Questions
Things people ask me about verification.
Why was my Google Business Profile verification video rejected?
Usually because the video didn't clearly prove location, business or management. Common causes are no street or landmark, no permanent signage, a name that doesn't match your sign, or the wrong business type on the profile. Google rarely says which one, so I check them all.
Can I choose postcard or phone verification instead of video?
No. Google decides which methods each business gets based on things like business type and region. If you only see video, that's the method to prepare for properly.
What does "No more ways to verify" mean?
It means you've used up the options Google offered for now. It's often fixable. After fixing the profile, the next step is usually Google support, where a live video call can sometimes be arranged.
How long does video verification take?
Google says video reviews take up to 5 business days. Many come back sooner. If it's been longer than that, it's worth checking the status and contacting support.
I work from home. Do I have to film my house?
No. If customers don't visit you, your profile should be a service area business with the address hidden. Your video then focuses on your vehicle, tools, equipment and documents.
Can a virtual office or co working space be verified?
A virtual office can't, unless it's staffed during business hours. A co working space can qualify only with clear signage, staff there during your hours and customers you serve there.
Do you need my Google password?
Never. For the check, a screenshot is enough. If we work together, you add me as a manager on the profile, so your login stays with you.
Do you work with businesses outside India?
Yes. Most of my clients are international. I work with businesses all over the world over WhatsApp and email.
