When your profile disappears, so do the calls. I’m a Diamond Google Product Expert, and getting suspended profiles back on Google Maps is what I do every week. I find the real reason Google flagged you, fix it properly and prepare an appeal Google can say yes to.
Sound familiar?
Most owners find out the hard way, when the phone goes quiet. If any of these sound like you, you’re in the right place.
Customers search your name and you’re simply not there anymore. No listing, no reviews, no calls.
Google says your profile doesn’t follow its guidelines, but doesn’t tell you what exactly went wrong.
The profile is locked, edits get rejected or you’ve lost access to the account that owns it.
You tried yourself, it didn’t work, and now you’re worried that the next attempt is your last.
Don’t panic and don’t start over with a new profile. Message me first, a quick look costs you nothing.
Why it happens
A suspension is Google saying something about your profile doesn’t add up. The email is vague on purpose. Finding the actual cause is the most important part of the job, because an appeal that doesn’t fix it usually fails.
Adding services or cities to the name, like “Best Plumber Toronto”, is one of the most common triggers.
Virtual offices, mailboxes, shared or co working spaces without signage, or an address Google can’t confirm.
Showing a home address when you serve customers at their place, or a service area that’s far too wide.
Changing the name, address, category or phone in one go, or editing again and again in a short time.
An old agency, ex employee or unknown account with access, or suspicious activity on a manager account.
A category that doesn’t match what you actually do, or a website that tells a different story.
Sudden review spikes, review gating, or links to sites Google doesn’t trust.
Sometimes Google’s systems simply get it wrong. Real businesses get caught every day.
Before you do anything
Most of the tough cases I see were made tougher by well meaning moves in the first few days. Please avoid these.
Send me your business name and a screenshot of what you see. I’ll tell you honestly what’s going on and whether it can be recovered, before you do anything you can’t undo.
How it works
No guesswork and no random appeals. Every case follows the same careful steps, and you know what’s happening at each one.
You send me your profile and a screenshot. I look at it and tell you honestly if and how it can be recovered.
I check your name, address, categories, website, managers, edits and reviews against Google’s guidelines.
We correct what’s wrong so your profile matches your real business and follows the rules.
I prepare the right documents and photos and submit one clear, well supported appeal.
I track the review, respond to any requests from Google and help you stay safe after it’s back.
Google makes the final decision and review times vary, often a few days, sometimes longer. If I don’t think your case can be won, I’ll tell you upfront.
A real case
Who you'll work with
I’m a Diamond Google Product Expert for Google Business Profile, one of the highest levels in Google’s Product Experts program. I spend my time in Google’s own Business Profile community helping owners with exactly this problem, and Google has invited me to its offices in Japan, Ireland and India.
No call centre, no junior staff guessing. I look at your case myself, explain it in plain words and stay with it until there’s an answer.
Get ready
Strong evidence is what wins appeals. Start gathering these now. Don’t worry if you don’t have everything, I’ll tell you what matters for your case.
Questions
It depends on the case. Simple cases can be back within a few days of a proper appeal. Others take a couple of weeks, especially if Google asks for more information. I'll give you a realistic estimate after the free review.
No one honestly can, because Google makes the final decision. What I can promise is an honest assessment upfront, a proper fix and a well supported appeal. If I don't think your case can be won, I'll tell you before you spend anything.
Please don't. A new profile for the same business usually makes things worse and can affect your other accounts. In most cases the original profile, with its reviews and history, can be recovered.
Not always. Many of the profiles I recover had a rejected appeal first. What matters is finding what was really wrong and fixing it before trying again the right way.
For the review, no. A screenshot and your business name are enough. If we go ahead, the safest way is to add me as a manager on the profile, so you never share your password.
Yes. Service area businesses are allowed on Google, they just need to be set up the right way, usually with the address hidden and a sensible service area. Fixing that setup is often the key to reinstatement.
When the original profile is reinstated, its reviews, photos and history usually come back with it. That's one more reason not to start over with a new profile.
Yes. Most of my clients are international. I work with businesses all over the world over WhatsApp and email, so time zones are never a problem.
